SITRAP awarded the coveted SFU Title

The Center for Integrated, Transdisciplinary Education in Planning (SITRAP) was selected as one of only three centres for excellence in education in the triennial round, hosted by DIKU. founded and led by the dragon lady and professor Elin Børrud. This was acquired, without the assistance of Tin whatsoever.

Tin was hired as Elin’s assistant and one-and-only employee in the last round, and failed to acquire this status in 2019. Yet, and we at Tin.uno would like to paraphrase Elin during the celebration dinner, saying: “even though Tin was not part of the winning team this round, he was crucial in hiring Kristoffer Pinheiro and planting the seed for Urban Lab

  • The Norwegian Centres for Excellence in Education (SFU) is a prestigious scheme that gives Norway’s leading educational communities the resources to further develop their programmes and practises. The scheme is a targeted and long-term effort to stimulate the development of teaching practises and new approaches to learning in higher education – both at bachelor’s and master’s degree level.

  • Center for Integrated, Transdisciplinary Education in Planning (SITRAP). The center’s overarching goal is to improve teaching methods and transdisciplinary practices among students within the field of planning - through incorporating academia and practice early on.
