Elected for a 2nd term on the LANDSAM Faculty Board

Tin was again elected as the deputy representative for the period of 2023/2024, representing the temps in research/teaching positions at LANDSAM. He was appointed by a nomination committee. Tin narrowly lost against Ellinor Moe which got 4 votes against his 2 votes. Tin came both 2nd and last in this election.

On the question as to why Tin wanted to be a member of this board, Tin simply said that he did not choose this himself, but was appointed and quoted the great American classic:

“When their enemies were at the gates, the Romans would suspend democracy and appoint one man to protect the city. It wasn't considered an honor, it was considered a public service.”

Again, Tin hammered on how he was the living embodiment of the temp mindset: never taking up full-time employment, being self-made, partaking in the gig-economy, project-based activities etc. Like Bernie Sanders, Tin sticks to his main causes for life: freedom of speech and the mental health among the Norwegian research fellows.
