APL350 Lecture + Spacemaker & Parallelo
As part of the startup with APL350 Projects´ Initiation and Implementation in Urban Development, Tin covered the “digital alibi”, inviting both Spacemaker and Parallelo to present and discuss the capabilities surrounding their respective software. Both offer parametric design aid capabilities, to better decide on the quality of a space & function program instantly. To balance this out, Tin presented the conceptual aspects surrounding planning out the spaces and functions, and how architects, planners and developers has thought about the concept-behind-the-program. This was done through a run-through of multiple programs, but with an in-depth view on museums, offices and neighbourhood planning.
he course APL 350 address procedural aspects of developing and implementing urban development projects. This include assessment of municipal superior plans and preparation of detailed plans, including the use of development agreements. The course discusses the various means of implementation of plans and project ideas, and relate these to development projects' economic sustainability. The course emphasizes urban redevelopment projects with housing as an important component.
