LAA350 Final Seminar
Tin holds the lecture/workshop RFP (room-, functions program) at LAA350. The lecture consists of conceptual aspects surrounding planning out the spaces and functions, and how architects, planners and developers has thought about the concept-behind-the-program. This was done through a run-through of multiple programs, but with an in-depth view on museums, offices and neighbourhood planning.
DKS Diagram - Third Tour
Tin joins a third round of DKS (13-22. of February), with “Diagram - don’t tell, draw it!”, this time around with Innlandet county. As this is one of the permanent programs in Viken, Tin was headhunted by Innlandet for their temporary programs. The tour is a culmination of Tin’s decade-long approach to conveying his and other people’s ideas instantly.
Workshop at the EuroFM in Istanbul
Together with Chiara Tagliaro, Olli Vigren, Toomaj Ghalandar, Tin facilitated workshop Toward Digital Future, at the EuroFM Conference. EuroFM aims to promote and advance the field of facility management twhrough collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional development opportunities. Tin’s table (1 out of 3), Standardisation and need for scaling-up, was the most participated on out of the three.

Lecture at NTNU
Tin holds the lecture - "The Norwegian proptech market” at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Tin will focus the ongoing digitalisation of the core business practices in the real estate industry.
Invited Business Guest & Accidental Marriage in Sri Lanka
Coincidentally, during a wedding in Colombo, Sri Lanka, Tin ran into Jeevan Gnanam - the tech entrepeneur and founder of Hatch (coworking space), and got an invite to their facilities for a tour and presentation of their works. It was also here, Tin accidentally got married to a man called Arjun (according to Indian customs).

LAA350 - Oppgaveforståelse lecture
Tin holds the lecture, Oppgaveforståelse at LAA350, and marks the first time he is sharing his experiences on the subject matter which usually revolves around the first step in acquiring public procurement of larger urban projects. This lecture is unique, as it is based on Tin’s track record in awarded plan- & design competitions between 2017-2023.
“Adult Education” at Visma Property Solutions
Tin was invited to Visma H.Q. to hold a lecture on proptech, and in their own words “educate their employees on what the opportunities are on proptech” The dept. Tin visited was the Visma Property Solutions - in charge of acquiring and developing proptech related to their business strategy on mission critical tasks.
EIE310 - Proptech guest lecture
Tin will hold a guest lecture on proptech in the course EIE310 Property Market and Analysis. Tin will focus the ongoing digitalisation of the core business practices in the real estate industry. The contents is founded in Tin’s PhD project and the paper, The Norwegian Proptech Market - in which Tin co-authored with Knut Boge.
Juror & Host of the Urban Lab x OBOS
Tin was tasked to lead the jury-process and to be the host at the dinner/award ceremony of the Urban Lab x OBOS - Back to the Future competition. Using the NMBU students as a testbed for affordable housing issues deemed critical by OBOS. For the duration of two days, 80+ students in 15 teams will participate, leading to a grand dinner with 3 awards and 3 honorable mentions being handed out.
Joining the Teaching Staff of LAA350
Tin joins the teaching staff of the course LAA350 - Projects in Urban Development, alongside Anja Standal and Kathrine Strøm. The class of ‘23 consists of 75 students in interdisciplinary groups and will be working with city centre development in the medium-sized city Sarpsborg. The course encourages studies of structures, massing and in-between spaces.
Keynote at Berlin.hub
Tin representing the Norwegian delegation at the tech/business festival Hub.Berlin. His keynote had the title - "The Norwegian proptech market - where, when and how to invest if you had one million euros!".
LANDSAM Graduation Day!
2-5 years of studies are now finished and which enables the students to pride themselves with the degrees: master in property, or master in property development. Tin was there to carry the steel tables without know how heavy they were.
Elected for a 2nd term on the LANDSAM Faculty Board
Tin was again elected as the deputy representative for the period of 2023/2024, representing the temps in research/teaching positions at LANDSAM. He was appointed by a nomination committee. Tin narrowly lost against Ellinor Moe which got 4 votes against his 2 votes. Tin came both 2nd and last in this election.
Advisory Panel for Innovation Norway
Tin alongside four others were selected for for an advisory panel regarding a proptech company. Tin served as the “academic alibi” for the panel, as the other were heavier on the practice or industry side of it. All the panelists signs an NDA before proceeding.
LANDSAM Faculty Board Meeting
Tin (deputy rep.) was called to his second faculty board meeting, as the representative for the temporary employees was unavailable. It was noted upon arrival, that Tin was late as usual - but the excuse was and is always valid: The Follobanen is not to be trusted!
Joining NORA Research School
Tin joins the NORA - Norwegian Artificial Intelligence Research Consortium’s Research School. The relevance of Tin’s admission was not on the merits of proptech itself, but more so on the increasing use of AI and machine learning in the real estate industry.
CIB W070: Awarded Best Paper 1. Prize on First Try
Winning a CIB W070 "Best Paper Award" is a significant recognition of one's academic work in Facilities Management (FM) research, but winning for your first paper as a fellow, is considered highly rare. Tin & Knut Boge (co-author/supervisor) achieved this for their paper, The Norwegian proptech market.
