Thesis defense: Moland & Moi

This year marks the first time Tin supervised alone a master thesis on property development, consisting of André Moi and Joakim Moland Andersen. In poorly translated English, their thesis title were, “How do new digital tools influence established practices in the early stages of property development?". Judging from the grin on their faces, Tin must have done a mighty fine job.

Many weekdays AND weekends were spent in the supervision process and prep work for the final defense. Tin used the prior experiences as co-supervisor (mentioned later on) and the guidelines from SØK&SKRIV, which is believed to be developed by NTNU(?). From this, Tin attempted to reduce the guidelines impart to Moland & Moi the knowledge of connecting all parts of an IMRAD structure. Post-grad, the Moland could share the news that he was hired as an property manager at Malling & Co., according to themselves the leading consultancy in commercial real estate. Moi is currently employed as a project analyst at Ymro, and open for new opportunities in early stage property development (as his thesis states). Tin put pressure on the duo, Moi especially, to deliver on the final day, and threatened Moi that he’ll end up as a cashier at Kiwi, a cheap and subpar grocery store. This strategy is believed to be what distinguished Moi from being a young boy and becoming the hardened man he is today. In their final moments together with their supervisor, Moland & Moi devised a photoshoot capturing the trio team, their male friends and of course, a portrait photo of themselves:
