The key question of this review: how do your PhD interact with the institutional theories presented in the course? Tin was appointed as group leader in the midways review of the SDP424 course deliverables, and the teachers’ reasoning for choosing Tin is because he’s clearly the most likable guy in the class. Tin can live with that explanation.
SDP424 Mid Review
The key question of this review: how do your PhD interact with the institutional theories presented in the course? Tin was appointed as group leader in the midways review of the SDP424 course deliverables, and the teachers’ reasoning for choosing Tin is because he’s clearly the most likable guy in the class. Tin can live with that explanation.
Launching Tin.uno 3.0
Tin relaunches his webpages, or commonly known as Tin.uno 3.0 - from a multi-employee office (we/them) to a research individual (he/him). In a practical sense, this means Tin’s M.O. has shifted from conducting architecture/urban projects to peer-reviewed scientific papers. His projects between 2016-2020 is still on the homepage, but any new entries will be transferred over to Air Studio.
Official Opening of Startuplab Construction
The establishing of Startuplab Construction marks the importance of further R&D in the field of contech and proptech. In a prior research conducted by Tin, Startuplab admitted to that approx. 1/3 of their members were in either the construction or real estate industry, Tin was invited on the basis of his PhD research on proptech.
Commencing EIEJUSS’ SoMe Presence
Tin was asked by his boss, Helén Elvestad at the dept., to establish a SoMe presence for Institute for Property and Law (EIEJUSS). Tin had a look over the Easter holidays, then presented it for the institute Later - which will enable synchronisation/streamlining across all SoMe platforms - LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
Publication of the Helicopter Base in Bergen at NAL
The winner is announced in the helicopter base in Bergen. Four teams was selected for this limited competition, and has been competing for this commission since October 2022, Tin serving as the wildcard and teaming up with Haptic and SWECO.
Shortlisted for a Golden Pineapple Award
Tin was shortlisted for a Golden Pineapple in the category “International Future Place”. This honor was achieved for the Grønlikilen proposal and as part of the developer/ consultancies HAV Eiendom and LondonOn.
Visiting Researcher at AHO
Tin has been granted a visiting researcher at the Institute for Urbanism and Landscape, The Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO). This was also where he wrote his master thesis and got his M.Arch degree. The only comment Tin has on the title “visiting fellow” is: would mother ever say their son was merely visiting, when he came back home?
CIB Conference Paper Deadline
Tin submitted his paper for final review at CIB conference. The paper’s final review is still under wraps, but one could safely assume that Tin has written something in the category of digitalisation, proptech and innovation.
DKS Diagram - Another Tour
Tin joins another round of DKS (13-22. of February), with “Diagram - don’tell, draw it!”. The tour is a culmination of Tin’s decade-long approach to conveying his and other people’s ideas instantly.
